This position is responsible to oversee day-to-day accounting operations for the WCCC Educational Foundation and Grants awarded to both the WCCC Educational Foundation and the College.
The annual salary for this position is $57,990.

Essential Functions:
JOB-SPECIFIC Responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day Educational Foundation and College grant accounting activities.
Assist with the preparation or review of budgets before submission to any granting agency.
Serves as a functional team member of the Grants and Educational Foundation office.
Collaborate with the other Assistant Controllers in Accounting.
Monitor investment activities of the Educational Foundation and serve as liaison to external investment managers.
Provide financial information to the Foundation Board and attend Foundation Board/Committee meetings as required.
Compile and develop necessary Foundation and Grants financial data in preparation for the annual audit, and serve as the main contact with the auditors related to all Foundation and Grants financial activities.
Responsible for the accurate and timely fiscal year-end closing of the Foundation General Ledger in collaboration with the Executive Director of Accounting.
Responsible for continuous review of Foundation and Grants accounting records, recordkeeping practices, and procedures; provide evaluations and recommendations regarding such practices.
Analyze and forecast budgetary and financial data for both Foundation and Grants.
Make recommendations to the Foundation Director and Foundation Board on Foundation financial activities.
Apply laws, rules, regulations, and standards governing Foundation and Grants accounting operations.
Analyze and resolve discrepancies in Foundation and Grants financial data and reports as needed.
Prepare annual College Academic Program Cost/Revenue analysis reports to be provided to the College Administration and the Board of Trustees.
Prepare annual College Academic Discipline Cost reports to be used in the annual program/course reviews required by the College's accreditation agency.
Provide supervisory and technical assistance for all areas of the accounting and budgeting department as needed.
Supervise and maintain responsibility for the accuracy of the year-end closing of the general ledger as it relates to the areas under the direction of this position.
Manage the computer software applications for the areas assigned, including training of employees and the implementation of periodic upgrades and modifications.
Serve as a position of strength in the development and support of the College's ERP and the Foundation software system.
The position will be called upon to be an expert in its functions for the areas of management, potential new uses of the system and will document all procedures and processes in the development of a central repository of activities and actions.
Work closely with the team to learn and cross-train responsibilities for all staff members reporting to this position.
Responsible for supporting the College's reporting needs to accurately compile all requirements necessary to complete the annual audited financial statements that are required within the statements.
This is a date-driven exercise and independent work will be required.
Assist in the development of the College's Operating and Capital Budgets, and other areas of need as required.
Assist with various projects, reports, and analyses as requested.

Accurately develop, process, and maintain records, forms, and reports.
Serve as a member of the President's Council.
Perform job duties by College policies and procedures; and bargaining unit agreements as applicable.
QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING Associate Degree in a related field with three to five years of related work experience required.
Bachelor's Degree with one to two years of related experience preferred.
One year of supervisory work experience in a related accounting environment is required.
Experience working with a computerized accounting system is required and experience with foundation software is preferred.
Related work experience in higher education preferred.
Prior work performance must have met or exceeded appropriate work standards in current and prior positions.
Successful candidate will be required to obtain/provide the following clearances prior to hire:
PA Child History clearance PA Criminal Record Check clearance FBI Federal Criminal History Record Basic Employment Verification, National Criminal Database Search, and Five-Panel Drug Screen at College's expense.
