Maintenance Mechanic

We are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and diagnoseall machinery and mechanical equipment at our Youngwood plant. Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment and the skill to diagnose, adjust, and repair mobile mechanical, diesel & hydraulic equipment is a must. Equipment to maintain but not limited will be front-end loaders, mixer trucks, and concrete batch plant equipment.

  • Diagnose defects through operation and inspection of heavy equipment.
  • Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of equipment
  • Perform scheduled routine preventive maintenance work on all equipment and maintain equipment service records up to date.
  • Examine parts for excessive wear and/or damage to determine course of action for repairs.
  • Read and understand operating & service manuals and technical drawings.
  • Overhead Crane maintenance & repairs
  • Repairs electrical equipment, including motors, switches, controls, panels, relays, circuit breakers on both Single phase and 3-phase power electrical devices.
  • Order parts/supplies with approval and obtain quotes and record costs of repair work
  • Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of delivering on time goals with minimal supervision with excellent decision making and problem solving skills.

  • 3-5 Years overall maintenance experience preferred
  • Skilled and knowledgeable with hand tools.
  • Multiple trade skills required with certificates/licenses preferred
  • Knowledge, understanding, and formal training in Industrial machine maintenance/repair
  • Strong pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge and experience
  • Basic welding and fabrication is a plus
  • Ability to perform electrical work
  • Plumbing, pipefitting and boiler maintenance a plus
  • Willing and able to work in multiple environments (outdoors/indoors) that have fluctuating temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required with or without reasonable accommodations to use hands to finger, handle, grasp or feel; reach with hands or arms; and talk or hear. They will stand, walk and stoop, crouch or crawl. Occasionally required to sit, climb and balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
